Project and scope
Can we contact you without a complete specification?
Yes. The purpose of the test, the product concerned and a few known parameters are enough to begin initial scoping. SEM can then help structure the functional specification.
What types of test bench can you produce?
SEM designs hydraulic and fluid, pneumatic, mechanical and endurance test benches. The scope may cover a complete turnkey bench, manufacture from customer drawings or modification of existing equipment.
Can you manufacture from another engineering firm’s drawings?
Yes. The scope can be limited to procurement, machining, welding, assembly, pipework and the set-up specified in your technical file.
Engineering, timing and validation
What affects the quotation?
The main factors include the energies involved, expected performance, instrumentation, automation, safety systems, interfaces and the scope of acceptance or commissioning.
What lead time should be expected?
The lead time is defined after the requirement has been reviewed. It depends on the agreed scope, technical complexity, component procurement, required approvals and installation conditions.
Which compliance and validation items can be included?
Depending on the project and contractual scope, SEM can include risk analysis, CE marking and instrument calibration in the service.
Installation and lifecycle
Do you work throughout France?
Yes. Engineering and manufacturing are managed from Gressy. Installation, commissioning and on-site support can be provided throughout France.
Can you refurbish or modernise an older test bench?
Yes, following an assessment. Suitable items can be retained while obsolete components, safety systems, control or data acquisition are replaced. The objective may include improving inspection quality, repeatability and traceability.
Which services are available after delivery?
Depending on the requirement, SEM can provide remote support, preventive or corrective maintenance, spare parts and operator training.
Technical scope and confidentiality
Can you work with specialist fluids such as Skydrol?
Yes. SEM can assess a test bench for any fluid family, including Skydrol. Compatibility of materials, seals, components, sensors and recovery systems is checked for each fluid reference and operating condition.
Can you integrate automation and data acquisition?
Yes, when required by the project. The level of control, sensors, acquisition, recording and result presentation is defined according to the test sequence and traceability requirement.
How do you protect confidential information?
Technical information is not published without approval. A non-disclosure agreement can be signed before drawings, product references or sensitive data are shared.
